Hello, I’m Mimi
I’m a food-motivated travel enthusiast living in southern California. Although I’m a writer by profession, my real passions are eating, writing about food, sharing culinary travel stories, and helping friends and strangers plan memorable trips. I believe that one of the best ways you can experience a city is through its food, whether at world-famous restaurants, a local hole-in-the-wall diner, or a neighborhood market.

Some facts about me
- I lived in London for a year while in grad school. It was one of the best years of my life and I dream about living abroad again.
- I plan all my travel around food first.
- My latest resolution is to take at least one solo trip per year.
How this blog got started
After a food-focused trip to Europe, I came home and told everyone about the highlight of my travels: the Michelin-quality dinner I had at Aizle in Edinburgh. A writer by profession and by hobby, I was searching for a new creative outlet and wanted document my travel experiences as they happened. Friends and colleagues suggested that I turn my passion for food, travel, and writing into a culinary travel blog.
